Electronic Offline Voucher Information

The ‘Electronic Offline Voucher’ (EOV) system has been designed to replace the manual paper based system that has been in place since EFTPOS began.  The EOV system enables a debit or credit transaction to be electronically stored in an EFTPOS terminal’s memory when the terminal cannot communicate with the Paymark network. When the terminal re-establishes communications with the network, the stored transactions are uploaded to Paymark and valid transactions are processed to the respective bank and card acquirers. EOV is not designed to operate as a secondary connectivity for customers; instead it is an emergency continuation of processing capability when situations such as a loss of network connectivity occur.
